Jordan Springs Public School

Jordan Springs Public School is a NSW State government schools infrastructure project, stage 1 was completed in 2020. Olmurtech played a key role in providing installation training and supply of X-Tack, for more than 2000 square metres of Ariaply.

The design and construction of the $55 million Jordan Springs primary school in suburban Sydney was completed in just over 12 months – a record for any state government schools infrastructure project. X-Tack assisted in the streamline installation process of the Ariaply to the metal framing, providing a strong and stable bond that ensures the panels will not detach or shift over time. The Growing Need for Sustainable Materials in Education Projects - Enhancing Learning Spaces with Tec7 Adhesives and Acoustic Solutions

Following the QLD Department of Educations new standards introduced on October 15, 2024, Schools and Early Childhood Centres will now have stricter requirements for materials used in spaces for young children. These standards encourage sustainability and emphasise the use of natural, toxin-free products, particularly in spaces for young children. Sustainable materials have never been more relevant, and the use of Tec7 adhesives which meet stringent third-party testing and are Global GreenTag certified, positions schools to meet these guidelines effectively. This focus highlights the importance of child-safe, sustainable materials, supporting the QLD Department of Education's commitment to creating healthier and more resilient learning environments.

Runcorn State High School (RSHS) recently undertook a project to enhance acoustics in its new science block. Partnering with Brisbane Acoustics, the school had custom precision-cut Autex 12mm Cube panels installed which are well-known for their sound absorption qualities. These panels were custom cut to integrate seamlessly with the space’s design, optimising acoustic performance while enhancing aesthetic appeal.

To ensure a secure and durable installation, Tec7 was selected for its high-performance bonding capabilities, providing stability without compromising on sustainability. Tec7 a Global GreenTag certified adhesive recognised for its low environmental impact, brings added benefits by supporting sustainable practices in educational facilities, aligning with Queensland Educations new facility standards.

The installation of custom acoustic wall linings at Runcorn State High School has greatly improved sound quality, creating an environment where students can focus and collaborate more effectively. Brisbane Acoustics’ expertise in installing Autex acoustic panels, combined with Tec7’s reliability, resulted in an installation that supports both acoustic excellence and environmental responsibility.

The increased integration of Tec7 adhesives in schools across the nation reflects the shift towards products that not only enhance functionality and aesthetics by removing the need for mechanical fixings but also contribute to a greener future. As schools adopt these sustainable practices, suppliers are encouraged to meet the rising demand for innovative, environmentally friendly solutions and Tec7 are proud to be leading the way as the first adhesive with Global GreenTag (GGT) certification, setting a benchmark for sustainable construction adhesives.
